Want to meet new people, have fun, improve your fitness and learn some Latin dance steps for free? Co.As.It. Community Services is running dance classes every Wednesday morning as of the 1st of September 2021, at the newly renovated Amici House (House of Friends) in Bracken Ridge. There is a choice of two classes, from 10.00 am to 11.00 am and from 11.15 am to 12.15 pm, and both are free.
You don’t need a partner or any experience, just comfy clothes, comfy shoes and willingness to learn something new. The classes are run by a professional Latin dance teacher who will have you in a shimmy in no time. “Everyone feels welcome at the classes” says Rafael Pitarello, dance teacher with Co.As.It.
“Dancing helps improve coordination, memorization, endurance, flexibility, and most importantly, it makes your heart happy,” says Pitarello. “I guarantee you will see a huge difference in your overall mood, decrease stress levels, and a boost to your overall wellbeing.”
Conducted in a COVID-safe environment, the classes are designed for people aged 16 and upwards. The group activity will be held at the renovated Amici House, a former gospel chapel at 294 Bracken Ridge Road, Bracken Ridge. Booking is essential, so contact Co.As.It.
