Celebrating with ‘Babbo Natale’

Our Social Groups sparkled with conversation, laughter and happiness during awesome Christmas celebrations to wrap up 2025!

At each of our social group centres across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, everyone eagerly arrived full of beaming smiles and cheerful goodwill to revel in the traditions and festivities of the season.

Singalongs of classic Australian and Italian carols set the scene for joyous and heartfelt celebrations.
Everyone enthusiastically sung much-loved carols from Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer to Jingle Bells, Silent Night, Feliz Navidad,Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle and many more.

The arrival of a bright, bold Babbo Natale’ full of personality lifted the atmosphere to another level and evoked the fondest of Christmas memories filled with kind and generous gift-giving.

Bringing gifts galore, Santa delighted everyone handing out ornate angels, which had been proudly created by our talented Craft Group at Casa Aurelia.

With the spirit of Christmas filling hearts, door prizes were drawn with the lucky winners taking home a few luxury items to make the festive season extra special.

As the excitement reached their peak, delicious homestyle lunches along with hot coffees and panettone were a cherished highlight amid activities that served up both the nourishing and the nostalgic.

Each festive greeting turned into a long chat among friends who had become like family during the year with the magic of the season ushering in moments to both celebrate and reminisce.

The warmth of our Social Group Christmas celebrations were reflected in enthusiastic feedback all round, with comments that ranged from ‘heart-warming’ tofabulous’ and `we hope 2026 goes fast so we can celebrate Christmas again’.
