EKKA euphoria fills our Social Group Activity Centres

It was definitely a celebration to remember as the spirit of the 150th Ekka, Queensland’s most iconic agricultural show, came alive at our Social Group Activity Centres.

During this magical time of the year when city and country gathers together to honour the achievements of our rural sector, our clients arrived at the centres filled with excitement.

Warm smiles lit up on everyone’s faces as they joyfully connected with familiar friends and enthusiastically reached out to welcome newcomers.

After years of countless responsibilities, family and workwise, our Social Activity Groups encourage everyone to nourish their wellbeing and embrace new possibilities.

They are an opportunity for everyone to connect, learn and grow together while reflecting on shared experiences, such as, fun-filled trips to the Ekka with friends and family.

In honour of the Ekka, our Social Group Activity Centres were filled with country charm. Whether it’s tasting strawberry sundaes, going on carnival rides or being amazed by the fireworks, the Ekka has been charming Queenslanders since it began in 1876.

The joy of our clients while sampling Queensland’s fresh produce for morning tea and lunch was a small yet powerful reminder of why the Ekka has a treasured place in our lives.

It was also a reminder of the journey of produce from the farm gate to the dinner plate as our Social Groups devoured tasty burgers and delicious strawberry ice cream for lunch.

Afterwards, games of darts, thong throwing and ring tossing were symbolic of the fun-filled Queensland culture that the Ekka brings to the RNA Showgrounds every August.

It’s when our competitive spirit and pride rises to the surface during presentations of award winning cattle, arts, crafts and bakery treats not to mention wood chopping.

Through it all, our Social Groups learn that beneath our differences, shared experiences connect us, reminding everyone of what truly matters
